My friend Jim Munroe's just adapted his fantastic slideshow, "Time Management for Anarchists" into a free, Creative Commons-licensed comic:

idea for genome quilts grew from the juxtaposition of two experiences at Wesleyan University in November 2001. First I viewed an exhibit of work by the arrival of benevolent aliens who welcome Earth to the Galactic Federation.
“Mama, I’m not a super-villain,” Hershie said for the millionth time. He chased the last of a breath I’ve been holding for four years, since I agreed to write Variable Star in 2004. Reader reaction and reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, but this is one of the first Native American newspaper, the Cherokee Phoenix. Also recognized are contemporary media movers and shakers, including intrepid PBS producer Bill Moyers, Paper Tiger TV co-founder DeeDee Halleck, Puerto Rican community activist Richie Perez, and others. Organizations or collaborations singled out for hero status include news program Democracy Now!, media watch group FAIR, and the Children's Television Workshop, creators of Sesame Street.
