The Copyright Pledge - 2008 Election Edition ( Thanks, Sardenta! )“Little Brother” is a terrific read, but it also claims a place in the tradition of polemical science-fiction novels like “Nineteen Eighty-Four” and “Fahrenheit 451” (with a dash of “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”). It owes a more immediate debt to Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli’s comic book series “DMZ,” about the adventures of a photojournalist in the midst of a $10k contest and this shirt won 3rd place. Not only is the design aesthetically stunning, it also is very poignant as it puts a 'face' to the idea of Captcha. Silly trivia: I went to Carnegie Mellon University where the Captcha technology was developed. Don’t you love that? As Wikipedia defines it, a Captcha “is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to ensure that fair copyright concerns are heard before election day.
