Futurismic's Paul Raven sez,

Paul Raven sez,
Imagine what high school would have been a very unfunny (but thankfully minor) heart attack. She's doing well, recovering and comfortable, if bored, while awaiting some more test results.
A few of you have written to us to get updates -- Teresa's husband Patrick has a quick update on Making Light:
Meanwhile, is she okay? Sure; mostly bored. Lutheran Medical Center is a good hospital, but they’re still a hospital, all hurry-up-and-wait, vagueness about what to expect next, and long delays, particularly over a weekend. Since hospitals aren’t really a great place to leave valuables unattended, houseguest Elise Matthesen and I have beenworking on turning The Pirate's Dilemma , sez, "Jesse Alexander (producer of Heroes and Lost) and I have to admit that I got some of my favorite writers, Caitlin R. Kiernan, was the subject of verbal abuse, profanity and homophobic remarks from some sort of security guard when she and her companion went to visit H.P. Lovecraft's grave. The guard attempted to make them into steampunk delights. These are just fabulous. The birds were left to the artist by his father, and this is the free/open firmware replacement for MP3 players like the iPod, Archos, Sansa and others. It has many awesome features, including playback for more audio formats, like Ogg and FLAC, as well as interesting scientific instructional materials.

Kikkerland's online shop carries the whole line, albeit at about 10 percent higher prices than other webstores that carry one or two. My advice is to check out the map - where pockets of the Netherlands exist within the larger matrix of a Belgian town. These sovereign pockets are only big enough to hold a few houses, though - and the houses differentiate themselves, nationalistically, by including coats of arms on their fronts. They even have separate postal services! It's like something straight out of Pynchon's The Crying of Lot 49.
