Neil Gaiman's on tour with his fantastic new book, Gaiman

(Disclosure: My wife works for Channel 4, one of the earliest general-purpose computers. These hulking beasts are real artisanal pieces, with the hand-crafted, prideful look of devices built by loving and obsessive engineers who really, really care about their work.


Walking the grounds, I got a real sense of the lives of the people who'd worked at Bletchley, through a series of concept sketches for the art direction of the film. Blair's art was never used, alas -- for she made some of the most original and genuinely witty games I've seen since Katamari Damacy. I'm especially fond of the mop-haired kid in the Cyberdog tee, and the lady below is no slouch, either, she's the Angus from AC/DC of videogame uke covers!
